The Throgs Neck Bridge is a suspension bridge in New York City, carrying six lanes of Interstate 295 (I-295) over the East River and connects the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx with the Bay Terrace section of Queens. The total length of the bridge is 13,400 feet (4,084.3 meters) with the length of the main span as 1,800 feet (548.6 meters).  The work under the contract TN53 included the repair and replacement of various deteriorated structures including girders, floor beams, stringers, connector plates, parapets, sidewalks, and other support structures.

JPCL has been retained to provide special inspections and material testing services for concrete, rebar, structural steel stability, structural steel welding and bolting, and soils to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to requirements and specifications. JPCL also performed soil compaction, contaminated soil sampling and chemical analysis of excavated soils.
