NYCSCA Construction Management Progress and Special Inspection Services – SCA C000012618

The New York City School’s Construction Authority (NYCSCA) routinely inspects the construction projects funded by the SCA. The type and frequency of the inspections depend on the type and size of the project. For each inspection, a report is filed and forwarded to the Project Officer as well as others involved with the project. On an as-needed basis, the PO’s task is to assure resolution of all deficiencies noted on the report. To comply with the NYC Construction Codes, the SCA requires Special Inspections from independent inspection firms. These inspections are recorded on DOB
Technical Reports (TRs). The contractor is responsible for engaging qualified independent inspection firms for Special/Progress Inspections of
construction involving Structural Stability and Underpinning. The term contract is valued at $500,000.
JPCL Engineering serves as sub-consultant under Haks Engineers (NL- 228) and continues to provide various special inspections services including Radiographic Testing.
