Construction Inspections │ Material Testing
The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission’s jurisdiction includes the longest and busiest highway corridor, 6.5 miles of 1-78 highway segment in Warren County, NJ and Northampton County, PA. As part of this multi-element project scheduled between summer 2017 and fall 2018, several bridge structures and approach concrete slabs were replaced, cleaned, painted and restriping was done for the entire I-78 roadway segment besides other tasks. The project aimed at addressing several deficiencies identified as per annual bridge maintenance and inspection reports.
JPCL Engineering was retained to provide construction inspection and testing services for Asphalt compaction, onsite and batch plant monitoring. In addition to asphalt, JPCL also performed concrete inspection and laboratory testing of concrete cylinders.
