Construction of Simple, Complex, & Landmark Pedestrian Ramps in the Borough of Brooklyn & Queens

This improvements project to pedestrian ramps includes selected repair activities, minor upgrades such as curbing, application of long-life pavement markings and raised pavement markers as well as major upgrades such as new ADA-compliant pedestrian ramps, and new catch basins to improve storm water drainage. The location of the ramps were primarily at busy intersections with complex installation issues, such as close proximity to sewers, fire hydrants or utility lines. As part of this project, JPCL Engineering provided a dedicated Community Construction Liaison to help the resident engineer address any community issues and concerns. This role is part of the NYCDDC’s Community Outreach and Notification initiative.
