JPC Logistics LLC, dba JPCL Engineering LLC has two openings for Project Engineer.
Title: Project Engineer
Job Duties:
• Design, build, maintain, coordinate, and prepare engineering reports involving concrete, masonry, rebar, strand, steel and soil inspection for civil engineering infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sectors applying principles of civil engineering, complex construction management, and construction engineering.
• Assist senior civil engineers in the review, preparation and submittal of private and public project proposal documents and contracts utilizing Adobe Acrobat and agency-specific on-line portals.
• Prepare and review project baseline schedules in conformance to specifications, contract drawings and stakeholder inputs, using Primavera P6, Microsoft Projects and Gantt Charts.
• Perform construction inspections as per industry standards such as American Concrete Institute (ACI), Precast Concrete Institute (PCI-1 & PCI-2), and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) to ensure conformance to applicable codes and standards.
• Prepare and review field reports and engineering reports for various infrastructure development projects including tunnels, bridges, roads, and highways.
• Coordinate safety or regulatory compliance activities through inspection of construction sites, to ensure a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards and regulations, and all applicable state codes and standards.
• Create comprehensive and innovative construction drawings and documents using AUTOCAD 2D & 3D, AUTO Civil 3D, Revit and finite element modeling.
• Attend project meetings with stakeholders to discuss project status and update on progress, critical path activities, actual cost, workforce usages, and forecast and delays/recovery measures. A construction management platform such as Procore will be utilized to manage and document the life cycle of a project.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and 2 years of work experience as a Project Engineer, Civil Engineer, Field Engineer, or a related occupation required.
The required work experience must include 2 years of experience with the following:
• Software for drafting construction documents: AUTOCAD 2D & 3D;
• Field and laboratory testing of building materials including concrete, rebar, strands and steel hardware via inspections, testing and sieve analysis of fine and coarse aggregate;
• Project management software: Procore and Smartsheet;
• Knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) design criteria; and
• Preparation of project proposals, Request for Proposal documents, project bidding and procurement documents.
